“Yaşamaya Mecbursun” follows the 40-year musical journey of Nejat Yavaşoğulları and the pioneering Turkish rock band Bulutsuzluk Özlemi. Beginning in a time when many believed “rock cannot be sung in Turkish,” the story traces the band’s path from small stages in Taksim to major concert venues. Through their songs about urban life, the environment, and freedom, the band becomes the voice of a generation.
