Society at large views women as sexual objects—supporting players in the drama of a relationship—without acknowledging the desires, emotions, and pleasure they can experience, not merely as women, but as human beings. Both women and men fear discussing their desires and feelings; sex remains a taboo subject, relegating sexuality to the darkest corners of our minds or treating it as a topic that barely exists.
