Confronting farewells or death is often daunting, simply because they are so unknown. A Silenct Before Farewell is a documentary centered on pet long-term care and end-of-life journeys. Through the daily routine of veterinarian Liao Kuan-chih and his quiet dialogues with various pet families, the film explores how to learn to say goodbye within these moments of stillness. It invites the audience to experience the shifting emotions that come before making a choice, through one imperfect farewell after another.
