Fernando Lund was a firefighter, an amateur French opera singer, and became known as a photojournalist with work published in the newspapers La Prensa and La Crónica. He began filming movies in 1910 at the Olimpo Theater company, where he produced numerous photo essays. In 1913, after breaking several speed records in the darkroom, obtaining photographs or films in a very short time, he readily agreed to film From the Asylum to Marriage, the feature film promoted by María Isabel Sánchez Concha. In 1915, Fernando Lund traveled to his country, ready to enlist in the army and fight in the fields of France during the Great War. He returned to Peru unharmed shortly before the end of the conflict.
