Director
Graduated from Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts, Department of Cinema-TV. Worked as camera operator, producer and director in television channels for over 25 years. She became the first female news camerawoman working in the newsrooms of Turkey's private TV channels. She prepared cultural and art programs and documentaries for TV. In her documentary series Kıyıdan Köşeden Hikayeler (Stories from the Edge), which she directed and produced, she ensured that previously untold stories reached the audience through 52 episodes. In 2017, she wrote the screenplay for her first feature film, Heymeymoro Directed the documentaries “Necklace Presented to the Sky” and “Journey to the Summit”, “Going to the Homeland- Heimei-Maru” and “Letters Unopened for a Century”and ‘’Heroic Hands.’’ Her documentaries were screened and awarded in many national and international film festivals. Her Heroic Hand documentary project is finalist in the Proposal Division of the Japan Prize 2022. She became the first Turkish director to obtain permission to shoot in the Japanese Ministry of Defense Archive. Her documentaries were shown at numerous national and international festivals, as well as at the Japanese Emperor's birthday reception. She is a member of the Documentary Filmmakers Association.
