Mars Verrone is an Emmy-nominated filmmaker, musician (harpist/vocalist), and educator from Los Angeles, based in Brooklyn, NY. They direct, produce, edit, and compose, with credits including the short documentaries Buckskin (about their grandfather, pioneering forester Carroll B. Williams) and Golden Voice, and the feature Who Moves America. As a first-time producer, Verrone developed and produced the Oscar-shortlisted UNION (dir. Stephen Maing, Brett Story), which premiered at Sundance 2024, won a Special Jury Prize, and earned Verrone a Cinema Eye Honors Award and a 2026 Emmy nomination. Verrone is a Sundance Documentary Producers Fellow, NBC Original Voices Fellow, PGA Create Fellow, and was named to DOC NYC's 2024 "40 Under 40."
