Shinsuke Fujioka is a Japanese filmmaker whose work blends grounded realism with surreal and grotesque horror imagery. While working in commercial filmmaking, he continues to explore cinematic expression through a distinct horror sensibility. His 2020 short film OUT-THERE was selected for the Be Afraid Horror Fest. In 2021, Watashi ni Furetamono received an award at one of Japan’s leading horror film festivals. His short film Tears of the Beast was selected for a domestic splatter film festival in Japan, while Echoes Between Lovers screened in the horror selection at Nippon Connection.
