Carl Donald Boström, born on May 30, 1954, in Stockholm, is a Swedish journalist, photographer, book designer, and author. Donald Boström is best known for his coverage of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. His article on organ theft, "Our sons are being plundered of their organs" ("Våra söner plundras på sina organ"), published in the culture section of Aftonbladet, sparked the Aftonbladet–Israel controversy; his account of organ theft in Israeli hospitals directly caused diplomatic tensions between Sweden and Israel. He has also published several cookbooks and initiated and edited Lasse Kronér’s book 80 väldigt goda mackor (80 Very Good Sandwiches). In 2007, Boström received the K.W. Gullers Grant from the Nordic Museum. He has followed developments in Eritrea since the late 1980s and has on several occasions been granted interviews with Eritrean President Isaias Afewerki. In the spring of 2010, Donald Boström worked to facilitate a collaboration between Julian Assange, his organization WikiLeaks, and Aftonbladet. That autumn, when Julian Assange faced rape allegations in Sweden, Boström served as Assange’s media coordinator and was in daily contact with him during the period surrounding the accusations.
